Introduction to Infocament

Infocament solution is the first operational electronic health records kept by the patient and integrating any type of data, including imaging tests in diagnostic quality.

Infocament medical device is approved by AFSSAPS and CE marked.

Distributed in pharmacies, Infocament provides an effective storage volume of medical images equivalent to 5000 x-rays through the use of the technology of image compression Waaves. It uses the CD as a support multisession pressed.

The patient keeps Infocament. The data are therefore available only with his consent. In addition, a password defined by the latter protects access to programs and maintains the confidentiality of the content. Subject to its approval, the minutes recorded images and are transferable and usable by software integrated medical Waaves.

Infocament facilitates data sharing between health professionals by creating a copy broadcast digital images delivered to the patient. Of course, the native data are retained by the physician who performed the examination. This solution provides local access to images. It removes the latency due to transmission of data when accessing a remote server. This period may be important given the volumes involved and the limitations of network bandwidth.

Infocament allows viewing and adding in incremental mode of patient medical data. Viewing or retrieval of data is done on any computer with a CD-ROM or DVD and with operating systems Windows (98/2000/XP/Vista) or Mac OS X (10.3.9 and later) . Data recording is performed on any computer in addition to a CD burner or DVD. All programs necessary for the operation are included on the media: protection, data compression, viewing and burning. No installation is performed on the hard disk eliminating the risks associated with installing new software.

Infocament complete and features regional and national patient records, including the current role is limited to storing some significant images by providing a storage solution for comprehensive reviews. It is also possible to include in a patient record the act of registration of a review of Infocament as in the DMP-FC.

Getting started How to use Infocament ...

Instructions

Infocament allows viewing and adding the patient's medical data.
Viewing or retrieval of data is done on any computer with a CD-ROM drive and with Windows operating systems (98/2000/XP/Vista) or Mac OS X (10.3.9 and later). Data recording is performed on any computer in addition to a CD burner. No installation is performed on the hard disk.
If Infocament does not start automatically at its insertion, run the program Infocament.exe located in the "Windows" or "Mac OS X" depending on your system.

First use

Infocament is initialized on first use. To do this, the patient or health professional on behalf of the patient complete the sections Patient Name, First Name and Password chosen by the patient.

Subsequent uses, the program asks the patient's name, her name and password to unlock access to data.

Choice of application

After validating access, Infocament offers a choice of two modes:

Assistance to physicians

The network Apicrypt provides technical support to physicians.

What's new

More ergonomic ...

A new format with a navigation bar and a bar display of thumbnails you can view the reviews sought so faster and more intuitive.

Explorer Bar

Intuitively see your files stored on Infocament with its data tree organized by date and representing each type of tests available.

Image Preview

Use the bar display thumbnails to preview images in a file review with an interactive window that allows you to quickly find the photos or sought. If the review does not contain the selected image, the list of available documents is displayed.

More transparent ...

Gauge allows filling Infocament tells you the amount of free space available to add new tests. This indicator appears automatically launch the application and in the menu View / Info Conso . You can consult at any time and space on your Infocament.

More security ...

With the menu File / Export all, you have the ability to export all data in your Infocament to a location of your choice as your personal computer. This will give you, at your leisure, a backup copy of your medical information.

More compatible with radiology images ...

Infocament incorporates features that allow reading and writing files from radiology departments with greater compatibility with the DICOM standard.

How to

How to choose the quality index

The visual quality of images Waaves (or Dicom-Waaves) used by Infocament is driven by an index (quality index Waaves) which adjusts the rate of degradation mapping r image.

Infocament can therefore define an index of quality R through the wizard "Add Review". As described below, this value must be a positive integer. A value of zero represents the lossless compression mode (binary identity between the original image and the reconstructed image).
The compression ratio increases with the quality index. This means that the same image compressed with the quality index of 10 will be better visual quality than the quality index 20. As against the weight of the index file 20 will be lower quality than the nearest quality index 10.

Note: It is strongly recommended to apply compression to images available in an uncompressed format (Dicom-Raw, TIFF, BMP ,...).

Image Quality Color (24/32 bit) Gray levels (8 bits) Medical gray level (10 to 16 bits)
Without loss 0 0 0
Without visual loss 10 to 40 10 to 20 10 to 100
Good quality 40 to 100 20 to 40 -
Compact 100 % 40 -

(Note: this table is an illustration of the values ??most frequently used and may not be appropriate for some images)

As each image is unique, the ranges indicated represent only an estimate. A quality index of the same, the compression ratio may vary:

Some clues as a guide:

Pathology From 40 to 80
Dental panoramic From 40 to 60
Radio chest 80-100
Retinopathy 10 to 15
Scanner 10.20

Note: the processing speed depends on the hardware configuration, the image size and quality index selected.
